Application Access Information

Please read the following information carefully before starting your application.

If there are issues uploading documents, it is recommend that applicants continue to complete and submit the form and then email the supporting documents to disasterassistance@ruralaid.org.au.
Please note that documents must be submitted within 24 hours of Rural Aid receiving the application, otherwise the application may be voided.
Once your application has been successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation email.
Applications submitted that do not match the correct state for that state allocation will not be accepted.

Please note: You’ll receive a confirmation email once your application has been successfully submitted. Please check your junk mail if you do not receive this email. Failure to receive this email indicates that your application has not been submitted successfully.

After the application period closes, a second confirmation will be sent to those whose applications are being considered.

Rural Aid is a charity with limited resources, and only a set number of water tanks are available each round. We understand how important this support is and that it can be disappointing to miss out.

To assist our farmers with water sustainability, Rural Aid are continuing our highly successful domestic water tank initiative which aims to contribute to the sustainability of farmers in rural and remote areas.

Have you already received a water tank from Rural Aid?(Required)

(Only one water tank is available per ABN/household/property.

Please note: A household is defined as a shared dwelling. It can also be defined as married/de-facto couples with separate dwellings or multiple families operating in as a combined entity.)

If you have already received a domestic water tank from Rural Aid, you are not eligible to apply.

Are you the owner of the property where you live, and the tank will be installed?(Required)

(You will be asked to provide a current rates notice for this property Please note: Only property owners are eligible to apply for a tank).

Do you acknowledge that the aim of this program is to provide water for domestic use and as such, each tank must be installed for domestic use only?(Required)

Do you currently have sufficient domestic water infrastructure in place?(Required)

The aim of this program is to assist farmers to either increase their domestic water storage capacity or to assist with the replacement of damaged, cracked or leaking tanks currently in place.

If you currently have infrastructure in place and are in need of water only, you can contact Rural Aid and speak to the team about our domestic water supply initiative.

Do you acknowledge that, in the event that your property is not within one of the designated free delivery zones as recognised by our current suppliers (Bushmans or West Coast Poly), farmers will be provided with a delivery quote?(Required)

Any delivery costs would be met by the applicant and this must be confirmed prior to the water tank being ordered by Rural Aid.

In the event that a delivery fee is incurred, the applicant would be invoiced directly by the supplier.

Primary Producer Declaration

(Your accountant can give this to you) If your accountant is writing a primary producer declaration letter for you:
Please ensure it is on their letter head with their contact details,

signed and dated within the last 12 months.
It will also need to include your name or business name, ABN and address in which you undertake your Primary Production business OR
if your accountant is using a Declaration of Eligibility for a Registration Concession form or any other form:
please make sure that it has your and your accountant’s signature both dated within the last 12 months OR
A current Government Vehicle Registration notice in the applicant’s name showing the usage of the vehicle is for Primary Production or Produce Carrying OR
Either a 2021 or 2022 Australian Notice of Assessment in the applicant’s name showing on the 1st or 2nd page the term Primary Production averaging Income.
